Disney's Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 and Orlando and Central Florida have never been the same since. Magic Kingdom includes six lands: Main Street USA, Liberty Square, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Each area has rides, entertainment, restaurants, shops, and Disney characters.
Update: Space Mountain to Close in April for Renovations
Disney's Space Mountain will close for about a year, during this time the ride will be renovated to make more modern while maintaining it's fun. The track will not change but the experience will.

The Magic Kingdom includes ride favorite It’s a Small World, Space Mountain, Haunted House, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Tomorrowland Indy Speedway and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Tip get Disney's Fast Pass for the most popular rides, this is where you pick up a ticket at the attraction and come back at a later time so you don't have to wait in line. This feature has proved so popular that on weekends and holidays Fast Passes run out by mid-day.
The Magic Kingdom also has great shows and events like the Country Bear Jamboree, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Stitch’s Great Escape, Tom Sawyer island and more.
The Magic Kingdom is known for fantastic parades and nightly fireworks that take place above Cinderella’s Castle. Plan to spend the entire day at this Orlando theme park.
If you are staying on Disney property consider going to the Magic Kingdom in the morning taking a break in the afternoon and returning for the evening festivities. |
